Terms & Conditions of Service
Welcome to Nova Design Firm. By accessing our website, requesting 3D architectural renderings, or engaging our general contracting services, you agree to comply with the terms set forth below.
1. Acceptance of Agreement
These Terms & Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Client") and Nova Design Firm ("Company", "We", "Us"). By placing a service request or signing a construction contract, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
2. Scope of Services
Nova Design Firm provides architectural design, 3D visualization, basement finishing, room additions, and licensed general contracting services. 3D renderings are high-precision architectural representations intended to visualize proposed improvements; final physical finishes are subject to actual site conditions and manufacturer material tolerances.
3. Quotations & Payment Schedule
- Initial Consultation: Initial site measurement and preliminary consultations are scheduled via our booking system.
- Deposit: Construction projects require a project mobilization deposit prior to ordering materials or pulling permits.
- Milestone Payments: Remaining payments follow itemized contract milestones (e.g., framing completion, drywall inspection, final sign-off).
4. Client Access & Property Preparation
Clients must grant Nova Design work crews reasonable access to the project site during agreed construction hours. Homeowners are responsible for clearing personal items from designated work zones prior to project commencement.
5. Permits & Municipal Approvals
Nova Design submits architectural drawings and manages permit filings with local municipal building departments on behalf of the client. Permit fees assessed by city or county entities are passed through to the project invoice without markup.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
All 3D architectural renders, CAD floorplans, elevation drawings, and project photography produced by Nova Design remain the intellectual property of Nova Design Firm. Clients are granted a non-exclusive license to use these assets solely for their specific building project.
7. Limitation of Liability
Nova Design Firm maintains comprehensive general liability and worker's compensation insurance. Nova Design shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages resulting from site delays caused by weather events or municipal permit backlogs.
8. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in Contra Costa County, CA.
